PAR 3 convened in a forum with DOLE RO3

City of San Fernando, Pampanga/ April 30/2019 – The Department of Labor and Employment led by Regional Director Maria-Zenaida Angara Campita together with the Technical Support and Services Division Chief Maria Rima Hernandez held a breakfast forum with the Paralegal Association of Region 3 (PAR-3) to discuss issues and concerns of officers and members of unions in the region.

The breakfast forum is regularly held as a pre-labor day activity of the DOLE RO3. Among the issues raised was the Extended Maternity Law RD Campita disclosed that the IRR will be signed tomorrow at the National Labor day Celebration to be held at the Kingsborough International Convention Center, here in the City.

As part of the activity a scholar under the Workers Organization Development Program (WODP) was acknowledged at the event. Carl Amiel Louis Rivera is a graduate of BS Aeronautical Engineering of the Holy Angel University Batch 2019.Rivera is the son of Louie Rivera from the Pampanga Pepsi Cola Employyes Union.The WODP scholarship program provides educational opportunities to officers and members including their dependents for self-development, personal and professinal growth and to be an effective change agent in their organization and in their personal life.

The event also highlights the awarding of 5 scholars who will undergo the 40 hours Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training. Beneficiaries were:   Joel Calaguas of the Malayang Organisasyon ng mga Kawani at Kaguruan sa Assumption, Ralph Gian Castro, Wesleyan University Faculty and Staff Association, Angelo Earl John Melo, San Miguel Brewery Inc. Employees Union and Enrico Bondoc San Fernando Brewery Employees Union and  Inocencio Parazo of the International Electric Wires Philippines Employees Union /DOLE ROIII
