Catching Flight Settlement through DOLE SENA

Clark Freeport Zone/May 24, 2019 –The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 3 Clark Satellite   Desk Officer Jose Roberto Navata speedily handled the Request for Assistance (RFA) of one of the foreign employee of a BPO Company in Clark.

A Thailander , Miss Chayanich Kingkate,  rank-and- file call center agent , handling accounts for clients in Thailand appeared before DOLE Clark Satellite Office requesting for assistance to facilitate of her full pay for  language allowance and reimbursement of airplane ticket which are all stated in her contract.

The management was immediately called upon to appear before the DOLE Clark Office and management representative promised to settle Kingkate’s claims within 48 hours.

Through the Single Entry Approach (SENA) a measure to effect faster, fairer, and less expensive settlement of labor issues from maturing into actual labor cases. Desk Officer Navata upon learning that the requesting party already booked a flight going back to Thailand on May 24, 2019 persuaded the management to settle the claims and all issues on the same date.

Kingkate was very happy of the management’s cooperation through the DOLE SENA program. Immediately upon settlement, the requesting party gladly informed their embassy of the quick response of the DOLE.

Under SEnA, conciliation-mediation is the process of dispute management used by the Single Entry Desk Officer (SEADO) to effect amicable settlement between the requesting party and responding party./DOLERO3
