Hundreds jobseekers gathered for DOLE 3 Independence Day Job & Business Fair


DOLERO3 Job and Business Fair at Harbor Point, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.June 12, 2019

Subic Bay Freeport Zone/June 12, 2019- Close to 3,000 job vacancies was made available to job seekers on the recently held Job and Business Fair at the Harbor Point, Ayala Mall, Subic Bay Freeport Zone yesterday.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 3 disclosed that a total of 86 companies for local and overseas employment participated at the event. Around 1,500 job seekers were registered, in which a total of 110 was able to be Hired On-The- Spot (HOTS).

Of the total 1460 registered applicants, 1358 (local employment) and 98 (overseas) candidates was recorded to be “Near Hires”. DOLE records showing “Near Hires” are job applicants who were considered hired but needs to submit additional or lacking requirements, or may need to attend further interviews or test.

DOLE Regional Director Maria Zenaida-Angra Campita in her message as she formally open the Regional Job and Business fair expressed deep gratitude to all participating companies for their continued support and participation to DOLE activities. Campita likewise hopes for immediate employment to all job seekers present.” To all of you seeking for first time employment, please do not be picky or too selective in finding employment, today is the best opportunity for all of you now to land a job so as you will gain work experience”, she added.

Participating government agencies present are: Home Development Mutual Fund (PAG-IBIG), Philippine Health Insurance Company, Social Security System, Philippine Statistics Authority, who provided pre –employment services. Government officers from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) were also present provide allied services.
