Tarlac City/June 25, 2019- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Tarlac Provincial Field Office (PFO) conducts its first advocacy under the "Building Responsible Investments by Circuiting Knowledge (BRICK) on Labor Laws." The event was a full house at the DOLE Tarlac PFO as Senior Labor and Employment Officer Allan Tolentino facilitated the discussion of a topic on Employee Discipline and Termination. Initially, a total of twenty- five (25) representatives coming from various construction companies and security agencies attended the activity, wrapping up with positive feedbacks from the group.

"BRICK on Labor Laws" is an innovative effort of the DOLE Tarlac PFO which aims to inculcate the essence of voluntary compliance with labor standards and labor relations in the mind and hearts of investors in the Province of Tarlac. This is in order to redress repetitive and similar complaints of workers under the Single ENtry Approach (SENA) Program. The endeavor likewise aims to establish a positive link with the business sector in the province, which would enable them to see DOLE in a much different light -- that is a partner rather than an adversary agency proactively assisting them in gaining paralegal knowledge; gearing them towards more appropriately managing their prerogatives and at the same time inspiring them to become effective instruments of harmonious workplace relations in their respective organizations.

This in-house (PFO-based) "BRICK on Labor Laws" is likewise replicated in the 19 municipalities of Tarlac, where in partnership with the Local Chief Executives (LCEs) and the PESOs, focused group circuiting of information and knowledge on the standards shall be held. Target participants shall be owners and HR managers of businesses within their areas of jurisdiction. This effort is also attuned to the vision of every Municipality to uphold responsible investments under their jurisdiction. "BRICKS on Labor Laws" is already set to push on June 28, 2019 in Paniqui and on July 2, 2019 in Capas. /AuLaxamanaDOLERO3
