DOLE 3 maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification

SAN FERNANDO The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. III successfully passed the recertification audit of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) with zero non-conformity noted for the third time in a row. The recertification audit was conducted by third party auditors from DQS Certification Philippines, Inc. on October 23 to 24, 2019.


According to Regional Director Ma. Zenaida A. Angara-Campita, the said audit also covered the provincial field offices of Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales in addition to the three divisions of the regional office (Internal Management and Services Division, Technical Support and Services Division for Labor Relations and Labor Standards, and Technical Support and Services Division for Employment and Welfare). “The two-day audit was indeed a thorough examination of every aspect of our ISO 9001:2015 implementation. Together with our ISO QMS Team and the whole of our workforce, we hope that the standards continue to be the second skin of the organization,” Angara-Campita explained.


DOLE 3 started its ISO journey in 2001. In 2016, DOLE 3 transitioned from the 9001:2008 version and was certified and registered with ISO 9001:2015. Since then, this seal of excellence demonstrates the commitment of the Department to provide services to its clients with utmost regard for quality meeting regulatory and customer requirements.


As of the recent audit, 42 processes are enrolled in the quality management system including frontline services such as: issuance of Alien Employment Permit, issuance of Working Child Permit, processing of Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) claims, provision of livelihood assistance through DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), conduct of Routine Inspection, registration of labor organization/ workers’ association, conduct of Certification Election, and issuance of Certificate of No Pending Case/Has Pending Case, among others.
