Affected workers due to COVID-19 to receive P5k financial support

City of San Fernando, PAMPANGA, March 18, 2020 - The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. III commenced the implementation of CAMP or the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program.

With the recently issued Department Order No. 209 or Guidelines on the Adjustment Measures Program for affected workers due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019, each affected worker in the private sector may receive a P5,000 financial support from the Department.

Regional Director Ma. Zenaida A. Some adjustments were made,” Campita explained.

According to Campita, all private establishments that have adopted flexible work arrangements (FWA) or temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic may apply under CAMP. Employers are required to submit a duly filled-out Establishment Report on COVID-19 with list of affected workers and one month payroll prior to the implementation of FWA or temporary closure.

“It’s relatively easy to apply, but since everyone is affected, we give priority to those micro, small, and medium enterprises. As soon as applications were submitted and funds were downloaded, we will start processing,” Campita noted.
