City of San Fernando, PAMPANGA, July 21 - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) provincial offices particularly Bataan, Bulacan, and Pampanga Field Offices conducted web-based seminars or webinars in connection with establishments’ compliance to the issued DTI DOLE Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19.

According to Chief Leilani Reynoso of DOLE Bataan, the office resorted to webinars to keep their clients updated and to steer clear of any confusion brought about by the current COVID-19 situation and the inevitable transition to the so-called new normal.

In their first sessions, DOLE Bataan had 38 participants from 25 companies/locators in the Freeport Area of Bataan while DOLE Bulacan hosted 69 participants from various companies in the province.

In addition, the Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19 Orientation conducted by DOLE Pampanga was joined by a total of 144 participants ranging from company owners, human resource managers, and some union officers from varying industries in Pampanga.

DOLE Pampanga Head Arlene Tolentino said that they initiated this webinar to increase physical and mental resilience of workers and employers during these tough times. “But most importantly, the goal is to safeguard both employers and employees who resumed operations by knowing their responsibilities and together establishing health and safety practices in the workplace and even at home,” Tolentino added.

Meanwhile, DOLE Pampanga Office was recently transferred to a new and wider office space at 2nd floor, Kingspire Business Centre, MacArthur H-way, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. However, contactless transactions through phone or via e-mail are still highly encouraged.

Schedule of next web-based seminars will be posted on the field office’s Facebook page as well as DOLE Central Luzon page.
