Over 600 employees assisted as DOLE Clark recreates conferences

Clark, PAMPANGA, July 27, 2020 - Some 635 employees of La Rose Noire Philippines located in Clark Freeport Zone were provided with requested assistance as the company reduces its workforce due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Department of Labor and Employment through its Clark Satellite Office concluded its series of consultation and mediation-conciliation involving the management of La Rose Noire and its separated employees. The 9:00am to 4:00am activity was conducted through an online video conference which ran for a total of four days with at least twenty (20) participants per one-hour session.

“Despite the suspension of our SEnA (Single Entry Approach) Program, our office continuously seeks ways on how we can assist our stakeholders even more during these trying times,” DOLE Clark head Jose Navata mentioned.

The affected employees requested for clarifications on the computation for their final pay which includes their pro-rated 13th month pay, service incentive leave pay, and separation pay.

Meanwhile, DOLE through Senior Labor and Employment Officer Jerwin Bargas also conducted an orientation on Department Order No. 147, series of 2015 and Labor Advisory No. 06, series of 2020 to the company’s representatives and workforce.

Individual certificates were also issued to the separated workers as one of the requirements for the grant of unemployment insurance benefit under the Social Security System (SSS).
