DOLE & DTI monitoring of establishments on the roll, 92% compliance in CL

As one of the requirements to now-operating establishments, an automotive center in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga posts the DOH and DOLE hotlines in a conspicuous space in the establishment.


San Fernando, PAMPANGA, August 26, 2020 - About 7,523 establishments all over Central Luzon have been monitored by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) since mid-June 2020.


Of this number, 6,950 establishments were compliant with the DTI and DOLE Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19.


“As part of the government’s action against COVID-19, DOLE and DTI have jointly monitored establishments and reported an overall 92.38% compliance rate here in Central Luzon,” Regional Director Ma. Zenaida A. Angara-Campita explained. “Establishments are tagged as compliant if they have established the minimum health and safety measures as indicated in the interim guidelines,” she added.


According to the guidelines, face masks, physical distancing of at least one meter, recording of body temperature, disinfection and sanitation routine practices, and signages on safety measures are required, among others.


The DTI and DOLE Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19 was issued on April 30, 2020. On August 14, DOLE and DTI issued Joint Memorandum Circular No. 20-04, series of 2020 or the Supplemental Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19.


The monitoring of COVID-19 prevention and control measures in the workplace is ongoing and carries through with the additional set guidelines.
