DOLE-Central Luzon welcomes newly assigned directors

City of San Fernando, PAMPANGA, February 23, 2021 - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Central Luzon recently announced its new tandem of directors.

OIC-Regional Director Geraldine M. Panlilio, who previously served as DOLE-III Assistant Regional Director, succeeded former DOLE-III Regional Director Ma. Zenaida A. Angara-Campita who has been assigned as DOLE-V regional head effective February 15, 2021. OIC-RD Panlilio works hand-in-hand with Dir. Alejandro Inza Cruz, DOLE-III’s new OIC-Assistant Regional Director.

In a short interview, OIC-RD Panlilio recalled how the Department has honed her to being one of its leaders. “I have spent more than half of my life here in DOLE-III, and it humbles me to be able to head such hardworking and diligent staff who make up one of the best, if not the best, DOLE regional offices in the country in terms of performance,” said OIC-RD Panlilio.

OIC-RD Panlilio has served in DOLE Central Luzon since 1993 as a rank-and-file employee. In a span of eight years, she already took a supervisory position in the same agency. In 2004, she was assigned as OIC- Assistant Regional Director which was formally appointed to her in 2014.

“We in Region III treat every day as a work in progress and an opportunity to be better than what we have already accomplished. That has been our direction as we continually find meaning to our work by seeing its impact on other people’s lives,” OIC-RD Panlilio mentioned.

Under Bayanihan I and II, DOLE-III has distributed a total of P1.2 billion to 243,518 CAMP beneficiaries region-wide. 17,111 OFWs also received their one-time cash aid worth P10,000 under DOLE-AKAP for OFWs while 334 OFW dependents received their P30,000 educational assistance under Tabang OFW program.
