Wage Board welcomes DOLE OIC-Regional Director Geraldine M. Panlilio as new Chairperson

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA - With the recent reorganization in the Department of Labor and Employment, DOLE Assistant Regional Director        Geraldine M. Panlilio assumed as the OIC-Regional Director of DOLE Central Luzon effective 15 February 2021, and consequently assumed as Chairperson of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board of Central Luzon.

On her first board meeting as Chairperson, Regional Director Panlilio said that this was a homecoming since her career in the department started as a contractual employee of the original Wage Board under DOLE Region III. “I am very happy to be part of RTWPB III again and blessed to have been given another opportunity to be a part of the Wage Board in a different capacity,” OIC-RD Panlilio mentioned. “I am hoping and praying that I would be able to do what is expected of me, and I am confident that it will not be difficult as long as I am with our partners from the labor and management sectors, and our government partners from NEDA and DTI,” she added.

Meanwhile, during her last board meeting, Regional Director Ma. Zenaida Campita who was reassigned as Regional Director of DOLE Bicol, expressed her gratitude to the Vice Chairpersons, Board Members and the Secretariat for their full support and cooperation during her 3-year stay in Region III. She assured the Board of the quality and degree of service of the new Chairperson. “Regional Director Panlilio is very able to lead the Wage Board. Being a home-grown of the region, she has been in service for a significant time. I am happy for her and I know she is capable of taking the region to greater heights,” Regional Director Campita affirmed.
