Over 6,500 vacancies in Central Luzon await jobseekers as DOLE's Labor Day job fair goes online

City of San Fernando, PAMPANGA, April 30, 2021 -  The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. III urges job hunters to join its virtual job and business fairs on Labor Day, May 1.

According to Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio, a total of 6,523 jobs await jobseekers as of 12 noon, April 30. “With more than 6,000 job vacancies from 51 participating companies in Region 3, this just goes to say that there are still some who are in need of workers, and we would like to bridge you to these employers,” RD Panlilio mentioned.

Dubbed as the Expanded 2021 Labor Day Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Virtual Job and Business Fair, the first region-wide virtual job fair in Central Luzon is hosted by Vantagehunt, an employment solution platform for both jobseekers and employers. Jobseekers may pre-register their account through starting April 26 to join the job fair on May 1.

Job vacancies vary from cost accountant, R&D specialist, sales representatives, technician, nurses, helper, and a lot more. The job fair also offers jobs to fresh graduates and skilled workers.

Meanwhile, employers may sign up through and choose the “I’m an employer” option. They may also coordinate with the nearest DOLE Field Office and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) near them.

“To all jobseekers, let us take this as an opportunity to connect and have an interview with your prospective employers. You can be one of workers who are hired on the spot even at the comfort of your own homes,” said RD Panlilio in an interview, urging job hunters to sign up and register as early as possible.

This year’s job fair carries the theme, “Mayo Uno sa Bagong Panahon— Manggagawa at Mamamayan Babangon, Susulong!”
