DOLE takes part in Barangayanihan caravan in Bamban


Bamban, TARLAC, March 25, 2021 - The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. III through its Tarlac Provincial Field Office joined the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan caravan in Bamban, Tarlac. The convergence of various government agencies including the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of Agriculture, Philippine National Police and Sangguniang Tribong Aeta aims to bring the services of government closer to the members of the community. 


For DOLE’s part, Regional Director Geraldine M. Panlilio awarded certificates of eligibility to 50 elders and single parents of indigenous people (IP) from the town of Bamban. The said to-be recipients of livelihood under DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) are yet to undergo screening and profiling to properly identify their needed livelihood package.


Meanwhile, 36 IPs from Bamban who are currently worker-beneficiaries under Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program were also present in support of the activity. Their 10-day work under DOLE’s cash-for-work program is from March 16 to 25, 2022.


Similarly, government agencies present in the activity also rendered assistance to the general public.##
